0104 - Assist Personal Activities High
We are committed to providing the highest standard of care to participants requiring high intensity daily support. These supports will be provided in the participants residence, or a community health setting who have:
Diabetes, complex wounds (eg pressure care, diabetic ulcerations), medication administration (oral, subcutaneous injections), bowel care, tracheostomy care, stoma care/urinary catheter care and swallowing/ eating difficulties.
0107- Assist Personal Activities
This registration group typically includes assisting (or supervising) with personal daily activities. The goal is simple: to make life as comfortable and easy as it can be. Examples of the supports provided by Better Care are:
- Personal hygiene (showering/bathing, oral care, dressing)
- Toileting, bowel/bladder care
- Eating and drinking
0108 - Assist Travel Transport
At Better Care, we know just how important it is for participants to be able to travel safely within their community whether it’s to a medical appointment or grocery shopping or something as simple as driving to get a coffee, a dedicated Better Care staff member will be there to assist you.
0114 - Community Nursing Care
The dedicated, highly skilled team at Better Care provide a variety of nursing services to participants, including (not limited to):
- Medication management
- Diabetes management
- Wound care
- Personal hygiene
- Health education
0115 - Daily Tasks Shared Living
Assistance with daily tasks/shared living focuses on both developing and enhancing domestic duties, allowing the participant to live more independently.
0117 - Development-Life Skills
At Better Care we don’t just want to complete tasks for you, we want to assist you in developing the skills to complete them yourself. We are acutely aware of the complexities people with disability face on a daily basis; we work with partcipiants to set individualised goals and work as a team to achieve them. Examples of this are:
- Activities of daily living (showering, toileting/ personal care)
- Shopping (food/ clothing etc)
- Meal preparation
- Journey planning/ appointment booking.
0120 - Household Tasks
Our experienced team aid with all household tasks that participants are unable to complete. This includes, however not limited to:
- House cleaning
- Garden maintenance
- Meal preparation
- House maintenance
0125 - Participate Community
Helping individuals with disabilities to be active members of their community is what we are all about at Better Care. With an individualised approach our support workers will assist participants in the following (not limited to):
- Get out and about
- Attend community events
- Recreational activities
- Hobby activities
- Cinema
0136 - Group/Centre Activities
At Better Care, we know how important it is to create enriching connections with friends and there is no better way to achieve that the then with group-based activities. Examples of this are as follows:
- Art/drama class
- Sporting events
- Art gallery
- Museum
- Shopping
